District 92’s officers recognised the need for a Toastmasters club in South Bengaluru. Their vision led them to choose the vibrant Koramangala area, renowned for its bustling eateries and nightlife, as the perfect location for this new club.
The journey to establish the club commenced with demonstration meetings, which kicked off in November 2011. These meetings continued until February, during which time they successfully garnered the necessary 20 members to formally launch the club. The historic moment arrived on February 13, 2012, when the club was officially chartered.
Awards and Laurels
In its history, KTMC has consistently achieved prestigious awards. In our very first Toastmasters year, which was only five months in our case, we earned the Distinguished Club award, showcasing our early commitment.
Since 2014, we’ve maintained our Select or President Distinguished Club status, which is the highest honor a club can attain. This consistent excellence reflects our dedication to personal growth and communication mastery.
KTMC has also secured various District awards like the Golden Gavel and Hall of Fame year after year, underlining our club’s commitment to excellence within the Toastmasters community.
Member`s Growth and Development
The club has played a pivotal role in fostering the growth of its members, enabling them to blossom into competent leaders and effective communicators. Beyond this, numerous individuals from our ranks have taken their leadership skills to the next level, assuming vital roles as District Officers, thereby advancing further on their leadership journeys.
In addition to these accomplishments, the club has also witnessed a handful of its members forging unique career paths such as stand-up comic artists, tv host and communication coaches. For them, the stage has transformed into a second home where they captivate and inspire through their humor and guidance.

Camaraderie
During the challenging times of the COVID pandemic, our members found solace and camaraderie in each other’s company. Many of us came together every week to play online games and indulge in much-needed social interaction, offering a welcome escape from the difficulties of the period.
In the early years, Bistro Clatopia was the go-to spot for club members long after our meetings, conveniently located right next to the club. While many initially joined to enhance their public speaking and leadership skills, they discovered something more profound – the bonds of friendship. These connections led to countless shared experiences, from going on vacations and attending Comic Con, to watching thrilling cricket and football matches, enjoying movie nights, and even late-night parties. Our journey has been filled with diverse adventures and lasting friendships.
